The cat's whiskers

The last couple of weeks have been pretty busy with a trip to the Cotswolds for a beautiful winter wedding. My brother and his lovely girlfriend finally got hitched and I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid. That's the third time for me now so I will have to stop drooling over vintage wedding dresses and look for frocks suitable for life as a spinster instead. Their wedding gave a definite nod to times gone by with 1950s style dresses for the bridesmaids from Courtesan Boutique. The invitations were designed by the talented Mr BabygotVintage who already sells his greetings cards online on etsy and folksy.

This has left me with little time to update the shop with my new vintage finds. I've lots of new clothing ready to photograph and am just waiting for delivery of a dressmakers dummy which I've ordered to better display things. I have started to list some 1960s Dutch advertising pins/badges which all have cats on (hence the post title, in case you were wondering!) My particular favourite is the little black and white cat (see picture). I have a couple of these pins and will be keeping one just for me.

Baby got blogging!

Welcome to the very first Baby Got Vintage blog.

Baby Got Vintage sells, via the magic of Etsy, affordable vintage finds. It also helps me to avoid a starring role on the next episode of the Secret Life of Hoarders.

This blog will be the place for me to not only talk about the Baby Got Vintage shop, but also where I plan to share vintage buying adventures, other shops and any tips I pick up along the way.
